This is so much cheaper than the name brands and I find it just as effective.

These are the basic brand of Guaifinesin. They were much cheaper than usual stores. Have a small bottle for every day use and the big bottle is stored and refill as needed. The tablet over itself is thin. Some capsules have a fatty taste. These capsules have no taste and very easy to swallow and don't seem to stick to each other when I take two.

I have severe hay fever. I can get most symptoms under control but the low intensity asthma. I hate using albuterol, especially at night when I most need it. Taking this regularly keeps my lungs "moving" throughout the day.

Didn't work as well as other brands.

Quality control is unpredictable. Each capsule almost never contains the same amount of medicine found in a Mucinex tablet. Other generic brands (such as Kirkland) can easily be found on Amazon for about the same money.

Guai-aid is the best over-the-counter drug to get rid of sinus congestion without you having to go to the doctor. I've been taking guai for 9 years after being diagnosed by Dr. St. Amand. It changed my life and I have felt fantastic since then. Unfortunately the long acting guai brand carried by the fibropharmacy was discontinued so I had to try this version as I did not want to use mucinex because it contains blue dye. I've been taking for over a month and not only do it not work but it also gives me an upset stomach. This side effect was also in other reviews. Buyer beware, this product is not effective if using for fibro.

This generic form of the brand "Mucinex" is just as potent for a fraction of the cost. As someone who has to take this medicine on a daily basis, the affordability of Guai-Aid definitely helps me to take care of myself and reduces the chances of contracting a major respiratory infection.
